Volunteer Expectations
Your role matters!
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization, helping us create life-changing opportunities for youth. Here’s what we expect:
Commitment: A one-year service period to build meaningful connections.
Reliability: Follow your agreed schedule and give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to adjust.
Active Participation: Engage fully in your role—whether mentoring, setting up events, or supporting programs.
Professionalism: Foster a positive, respectful environment for students, staff, and peers.

Weekend Play Days & Clinics (March–June)
Share your love for lacrosse! Help coach, referee, manage equipment, or provide support during our Weekend Play Days and Clinics. This is a flexible, year-round opportunity with a focus on Spring League (March–June). No experience needed—just bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting young athletes.
Academic Support & Tutoring (September–June)
Make a difference in students’ academic success! Volunteer as a tutor, offering homework help, test prep, or writing support. Choose from in-person or virtual opportunities to fit your schedule.
After-School Lacrosse Coaching (September–May)
Mentor young athletes in our after-school programs! Join us from 3–5 PM on school days to coach and support students in the West Side and South Side areas. A passion for lacrosse and working with kids is all you need.
Associate Board Member (Year-Round)
Be a leader in youth development! Join our Associate Board to help fundraise, plan events, and support young athletes on and off the field. Your efforts will help shape the next generation of leaders in Chicago.
